Generative Research

We used generative research tools to interview kids aged 5-8 years old. First, we had them categorize food based on how it makes them feel, then based on how they make their bodies feel.

Research Insights

Some conclusions we made were that kids have a basic understanding of what foods are good for them. However, one child put lettuce as yucky, but they like salads, so they do not know what ingredients are in their favorite meals.

What is our service?

A service for 5-8 year olds that is sold to farmers markets that sets up booths with activities for kids. The kids play and use an interactive camera to learn about where their food comes from, how food affects their bodies and emotions, and how ingredients make a meal.

Touchpoint Overview

Purpose: To teach children how food affect their bodies physically and eating well-balanced meals.

Function: First the children think of their favorite sport, then they will make a meal they would eat before partaking. Then they check with the camera to see if they made a well-balanced meal.
